Hi All,
The MINITEX BATS (Bibliographic and Technical Services) unit recently sent
out a Cataloging Training Needs Survey (perhaps some of you saw it and maybe
even filled it out). The survey included all kinds of potential cataloging
classes, including the MOTSE classes. And the response was significant.
Since the MINITEX region includes North and South Dakota, we gave them the
same options as the Minnesota people. The upshot is, we would like to
schedule the three core MOTSE workshops (Description, Access, Subject
Analysis) in at least 4 places around the region. Potential sites include
the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Fargo, and Sioux Falls. We are hoping to
schedule them for this Spring (and then spill into next Fall if we can't
work them all in).
To recap, we need trainers for the following three workshops in four
potential places including the Twin Cities:
Description
Access
Subject Analysis: both LC and Dewey
If you are interested in doing any of this training, please contact me.
Remember, you will be compensated and your travel costs covered. Please
indicate which workshops you are interested in teaching and at which sites.
Also, please include your available dates in March (second half), April, and
May.
Thanks!
