Meeting Reminder:  MOTSE Steering Group

Minutes from previous meeting are below.

 

RESENT:  Chris Olson, MaryAnn VanCura, Adam Marsnik, Stephen Hearn, Mary Huismann, Diane Power, Virginia Heinrich
 
Minutes for June 17th meeting accepted. 
 
FINANCES: Chris Olson reviewed our financial status.  The current MOTSE balance with Metronet (fiscal agent for MOTSE) is $4446.35.  Approximately $1500 is encumbered to replace the computer projector that was lost by MLA.  $2200 is encumbered to have the three basic workshops in the metro area. 
 
SCHOOL MEDIA MODULE: Diane Power and Mary Huismann talked about their findings from the focus group which met August 10th.   Diane was the facilitator; Mary recorded the discussion.   See Mary�s focus group notes for a record of what happened at the focus group. 
 
Diane and Mary will begin developing the survey questions to be made available online.  The focus group questions will be edited and new ones will be added. The goal is to have the survey available in mid to late September. 
 
The following points regarding the survey and training were discussed: 
Best release date for the survey
 
Who/what staff level will attend training
 
What format will be best:  workshop, online, combination.
 
UPDATES: Chris has not set dates for the 3 basic workshops for MELSA
 
NEXT MEETING:  Tuesday, October 9, 1-3 pm, MELSA/METRONET offices.
